History: And what a history it is.
Personality:
Strengths:Optimistic At his best, Billy can be a truly optimistic person. He likes to believe the best in the world and the people around him. This optimism doesn't always extend to himself, but when it does he is capable of great things. He hopes to some day be as good a hero as he's built the Avengers up to be in his mind, and lives by their code, refusing to kill. Passionate In nearly all aspects of his life Billy is passionate. From his obsession over his heroes, to his belief in right or wrong, if Billy Kaplan is on your side he's not going to back down. For better or worse, this passion often leads to him being something of a leader, not a position he often feels suited to, but regardless of his intentions, his passion draws people to follow him. Set to a good cause, this can be amazing. Unfortunately that passion often lack forethought, and therefore can lead to death, destruction, and hurt feelings. Trusting This tends to go hand in hand with his more optimistic side. Billy will regularly trust people he knows he shouldn't. Loki is probably the prime example of this, given that he orchestrated the whole events of YA Vol. 2 in order to establish control over Billy's future powers. But despite being used by him, Billy still cares for him. He's more than willing to give second chances to people who others might believe don't deserve them.
Weaknesses:Self Doubt Billy often struggles with a great deal of self doubt. Some of this probably stems from his being bullied in highschool. He never feels he's good enough, for his friends, for his boyfriend. In his darker moments this self doubt can become paralyzing. When Billy was preparing to kill himself in order to end the spell allowing Mother into their dimension he thinks the spell 'I wish I was someone better' over and over, calling it the one spell that never works, implying it is not the first time he's tried it.
Co-dependent Billy can struggle to face things on his own. He works well as part of a team, and without their support he can feel lost. When he's depressed after the death of his friends and quits being a super hero he insists his team mates do too, feels betrayed when he finds out Teddy's been sneaking out in secret to hero. There are times he can't find the inner strength to defeat something until Teddy has coached him through, and shown that he believes in him.
Obsessive The negative side of his passion. When Billy gets too caught up in something he can become obsessive. This isn't always a bad thing, his basic obsessions lead to simple things like knowing more than any one human should about the Avengers. Other times it leads to an obsessive hunt for the truth, and two dead friends.
Abilities:Electrokinesis (Recent comics have called into question whether Wanda and therefore her children are mutants, but as far as Billy in concerned he is one, so I will write it as such until a point in time that he either learns this fact, or the comics are reconnected.) Billy's mutant power allows him to produce electricity. He typically discharges it from his hands, though has been shown to have an electric aura on occasion where he was particularly distressed, as well as having glowing eyes.
Reality warping Billy is a mage capable of warping reality to his desires. His magic cannot work if he does not want or believe in it. While he is a source of great, and theoretically nearly unlimited power, he is still very inexperienced in the grand scheme of things, and has really barely tapped the surface of his abilities.
Some of the magic Billy has used includes: flight, teleportation, locating of people/places, healing, changing his or others clothing or surroundings,shape shifting, searching through the multiverse, aging Loki, gifting his power to someone else for a limited time.
When first learning he and Teddy devised a chanting method to help him focus, in which he would repeat what he wanted to achieve the spell. Billy needed to be able to hear himself speak for the spell to work. Even during that time he was able to fly and perform certain magic without speaking.
Since then he has been trained by Loki, and is now able to perform more spells with fewer or no words.
He is also destined to be the Demiurge, a magical God of the multiverse, who will rewrite the laws of magic echoing back through the past and future, creating worlds of his own, and having countless worshipers. He can currently tap into only a small small sliver of that power, and is honestly a little freaked out by the whole idea.
Example: Iwanthimgone.Iwanthimgone.Iwanthimgone. VS. Begone.
His powers are limited here by the storms, likely with a similar effect to when his power was tied up in the spell that brought Mother to their dimension. Spells are more draining, and big, world shattering stuff is out of the question.
(If mods would like he can also be forced to return to his previous method of spell casting, having to chant, and needing to hear himself speak.)
Personal Item: Cellphone which (if allowed) he can keep charged with his powers. Cannot access internet or cell network. If not allowed then a picture of Teddy.
